My favorite quote. This is how I feel parenting should be. Kids first, chores later. My husband doesn't understand how there is always laundry left to do and dishes to be done when he gets home. A lot goes into the day with two under two, or any number of kids for that matter. Love, playtime, feedings, diapers, teaching, potty training, cranky kids, nap time (for the kids and maybe you, too), then you do it all over again until bedtime. Dishes and laundry can take a back seat until the kids go down. You are not going to get to it every night. Some nights you will be physically and emotionally drained, and that is O.K. It is ok to take time for yourself, say "See ya" to the chores and hit the hay at 9:00pm. You need to recharge your batteries too. There is so much love and laughter your kids are ready to share with you. You will only have them for so long before they are grown. So enjoy it while you can!
